I'm still alive!

Semi-naked and partially squared

Things have been crazy around here lately. We finally have a surgery date scheduled for my little girl, which has been a long time coming. She's growing so fast and has me on my toes 100% of the time. I have been painting my nails, but I haven't had the time to photograph them. They're growing out really well, which is really exciting for me, since I haven't had long nails since I was in junior high school. I started the process of squaring them last night (WOO!), so soon they'll be exactly the way I want them.

I really appreciate all of you readers (90?! Wow.) sticking around even though I've made myself scarce. I hope to be able to get a few minutes here and there soon to make some polish posts.

I am still amassing some fantastic things for my planned 100 follower giveaway. I've got some polish and I want to pick up some goodies from Born Pretty. What kind of things would you guys like to see included in this giveaway? We've still got a little bit to go before we reach that milestone, but I think we will eventually get there! Thanks for reading. :)

  3. I like your nails too, they are very beautiful and I hope that you're proud of them now :)
Congratulations for your nearly 100 members, I think they may grow soon too... like your nails? ^^
To answer your question (well, not really answer but well ^^), as soon as a giveaway concerns nails in general, I'm always interested, and I can't wait to see what you've found for us!
(and by the way, you're invited to my giveaway too if you wish!! :) )

  4. Your nails are beautiful! I wish mine would grow like that.
As long as it's nail related I'm not picky about what's in a give away gift.
If you're interested in the Katy Perry collection, stop by my blog for my give away.

  5. Nice nails, wish I could grow mine like that. Mine are so weak they bend right in half if I get any length and they are always peeling (nail and/or polish). Seems no matter what polish brand I use they chip and peel in a day or two, I still try. So my suggestion for a giveaway would anything that would help make my nails better and anything for a newbie (esp. stuff they would not think of). ;) Oh and I found you thru another blog and just had to check you just cuz I loved what you named your blog. :)

  6. I'm glad to hear that you're doing fine and that your baby will be getting her surgery soon.
    I really hope it's sucessful.

And holy crap, what have you been doing?! Your nails look amazing!! They look really sturdy and the color is perfect, from the base to the tip.
What kind of base coat have you been using? *is nosy*

  8. Thanks everyone! I've been using Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle, which really has been a miracle for me. My nails used to peel and break, but since I've been using this stuff I've only had a few small chips on the corner of one finger (left pointer) which I just filed down a bit and it looks fine. It's the stuff in the gold bottle that you need to put on every two days. I wear it even when I'm not wearing a color.

Maybe I will include some of this!
